Hemorrhoids are
a fairly common problem people suffer from. While it is not the
most serious problem, it can be embarrassing to admit. But if
you do not open up, you may only worsen your condition. First,
though, is identifying if you even have hemorrhoids. Here are
five hemorrhoid symptoms to be aware of.
1. Pain
The most obvious symptom of all is identifying any anal pain.
You want to pay extra attention to any pain you may be suffering
from while going number two. The pain is caused by the sphincter
complex spasm. If it is an internal hemorrhoid, the pain is not
related to the skin. But if it is external, it is related to the
skin.
2. Thrombosis
If you are not familiar with the word thrombosis, it is present
where there is a clot in the blood vessel. It will appear red
and there will be swelling veins in the area of the anus. The
pain typically will last one to two weeks, but it can leave some
skin tags or excess skin after.
3. Bleeding
One of the most obvious hemorrhoid symptoms to look for is
bleeding. If you spot any kind of blood in the toilet or on the
toilet seat, you should go to a doctor or seek treatment.
Another indication is if you see any blood spots on your toilet
paper after wiping.
4. Constipation or diarrhea
It is still being looked at for whether or not constipation and
diarrhea are symptoms of diarrhea. However, many people
frequently suffer from one or the other when they have
hemorrhoids. If nothing else, look for other symptoms if you
have diarrhea or constipation to be on alert.
5. Pregnancy or period
Although it does not occur in every instance, there are some
cases when women who are on their period or are pregnant have
hemorrhoids. Just as with your period or pregnancy, though, the
hemorrhoids will come and go.
There are a number of
hemorrhoid symptoms that can help you
identify if you are suffering from this painful problem. As with
any other problem you may experience, the sooner you begin
treatment the sooner you can get rid of the pain. It is
certainly not something you want to learn to live with. Learn to
pay closer attention to the multiple symptoms if you believe you
may be experiencing one listed in this article.
